MWGA STANDING RULES AND MEMBERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES - PLAY DAY PROCEDURES

Thursday Sign Ups:  Thursday is MWGA’s official Play Day.  Members shall sign up via website, www.mwga1872.com (internet.)  Pairings will be completed by 1 p.m. Wednesday.  Members may contact Ryan Taggart after 12 noon to see if there are any openings.  If there are open slots,  names can be filled in at this time.  Final pairings will be emailed to our Secretary at 4 p.m. If something unforeseen happens and you cannot play on Thursday, please inform the Pro Shop as soon as possible.  Cancellation and No Show consequences are in effect.
 
Game Play Days:  In house game days are held throughout the season.  The games chairperson will select a fun game for individual or team competition,  Winners will receive points for their play which will be awarded as money prizes at the end of the season. You may play golf on Thursdays even if you choose to not participate in the fun competition games.
 
Dress code for Play Days and League events will be as follows:  No tank tops, denim, or short shorts. Soft spikes are to be worn at all clubs.  *When attending sanctioned League Day Events MWGA members may wear league shirts but are not required.

The maximum strokes allowed (excluding any special formats) will be in effect. This means that during weekly play, you may pick up on any hole and the maximum strokes you are allowed which is Net Double Bogey.  Net Double Bogey is calculated as Par + 2 + any handicap strokes you receive on that hole, which show as dots on the MWGA scorecard for that day.  This can be calculated manually, or you can use the GHIN mobile app to calculate it for you by entering your gross score hole by hole instead of as a total.
