MWGA 2026 Ladies League RED and GREEN Championships

Format: 36-HOLE Stroke Play (Every hole must be completed) PUTT EVERYTHING OUT! BALL MUST BE PLAYED DOWN IN ITS ORIGINAL LIE ON EVERY SHOT!
Handicaps: 100% of your USGA GHIN
ELIGIBILITY: Ladies must have played 10 MWGA Thursday Play Days by September 24 to be eligible. Please contact Sabine de Roy or Beth Calhoun to confirm your eligibility if you are not sure how many rounds you have played.
TEES: Red Tees & Green Tees (Play the tees you signed up to play for both rounds).
Ladies participating in Green Tees championship tee off last on October 1st and first on October 8th. Ladies playing in the Red Tees championship tee off first on October 1st and last on October 8th.
GENERAL PLAY DATES (Not able to play Championship): Ladies who are unable or prefer not to participate in the League Championship are able to play one or two of the above dates. They tee off after the Championship and can sign up on Weebly as usual.
PAYOUT:We will be crowning two Club Champions this year — the Red Tee Champion and the Green Tee Champion. We will also award 1st, 2nd and 3rd GROSS and NET in each flight. Members must be either 70 years of age or older or have a Handicap Index of 30.0 or above to play from the Green Tees.
.PACE OF PLAY: We ask that ALL groups play in under 4hrs and 30mins. If your group falls behind you will receive a warning. If pace of play does not improve after the warning your group will be put on the clock and a 2-stroke penalty may be assessed.
CART RULES: depending on weather but 90 degrees on select holes only!
USGA RULES OF GOLF will govern all play with the following exceptions:
EMBEDDED BALL - a ball which is embedded through the green in its own pitch mark in the ground, except in loose sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR - defined by white/blue lines, and all bare and rocky areas that are connected to the cart paths.
HAZARDS - will be identified by stakes and defined by lines. Holes #1,2,5,7,9,10,11,16 & 18.
BALL DROPS: Holes: 2,4,9,10 & 16 (#4 free drop if ball comes to rest in “Clubhouse Area”)
