Foothills League Information
New MWGA members must play three (3) eighteen-hole rounds of golf on a Thursday Play Day at Mooresville Golf Club before being eligible to play in Foothills League events.
Each year, MWGA members must play at least three (3) eighteen-hole rounds of golf on a Thursday Play Day to maintain their membership in Foothills League. Friendly competition is between members of leagues represented by several clubs in the area. The event is flighted by handicap. Winners in each flight are awarded 8 points for best gross and net, 4 points for second gross and net, 2 points for third gross and net. At the end of the season members will receive payouts determined by number of points won. Players no longer need to stay after play to see who won; winners will be emailed. These payouts will be paid in cash at the MWGA Closing Meeting. FHL observes the double par rule; if you take a double par on any hole you must circle your score on your score card.
Invitations for the league events will be sent from the Secretary via email. Those interested in participating should sign up on the website www.mwga1872.com The web site will list cost and closing date. Twenty-four-hour notice is required for cancellation.
The FHL will present a monetary gift of $25.00 and a certificate to any person making a hole-in-one on any FHL sanctioned play day. Notify the Foothills Rep with the following information to be eligible for the money and the certificate.
